AND THE WINNER IS ... just before we get to that bit, I wanted to thank everyone for joining in with the friendship during this 10 day block.
You all made it a lot of fun and really added to my life in positive ways.
I especially wanted to thank all the new or first time points table attendees. It really is great to have you along for the friendship ride even if it is such a silly place.
Newbies earning 1 point each for the welcome DJ name include Joanna, Fiona, Jacky (yeah, Jacky), Stuart, Ian, and Cameron. Great contribution one and all and please remember, you can join in the playlist whenever you want too. (the management also accepts that not everyone is into the playlist project.)
Other honorable mentions as newbies with one point goes to Fraz (great to have you onboard. Hope to hear more of you in the future) and also Skegsie who joined in with a pretty good song suggestion despite me trolling him all week about being gay for soccer players !!!
And a big welcome to Joni who becomes active on facebook for the first time in 8 years and chips in with a couple of songs adding to the fun too.
But enough ego stroking for first timers (you have all done very well) lets see who was the biggest loser. And that award goes to .... Zach !!!! due to him trying to subvert the rules of naming a song with a boys name in it and instead posting “Boys don't cry” by the cure.
Nice try.
Minus one million points sees him end up with a massive MINUS 999 996 points.
The top of the table is pretty congested but the stand out contributor is Andy who must be slightly peeved that, despite getting maximum points for every post possible, and achieving a “perfect” score of 51 still finishes a long way off the top pf the points table !!!
What can i say Andy ... life is cruel ... the points system is unfair ... tough luck.
But lets get to the real winner which is ... in many ways Danny could easily consider himself the real winner as with one post, his first post ever, swicks in and claims 100 bonus points for hitting the Secret Booby Prize for his entry of “A man named Sue”
Nice steal buddy, however, you don't actually end up with the most points on the table ... !!!!
Finishing above you is Kirsty with 110 points by virtue of gaining one booby prize and also being a regular contributor. Which just goes to show that regular play builds up points which (really means nothing) and wins !!!!
Thats something that David also knows and after winning outright last week puts in another outstanding effort this block too and finishes with 135 point thanks to hitting one booby prize and other regular contributions.
Nice one buddy ... but wait ... there is a Lozza !!!
AND, SO, THE WINNER IS ... Lozza, who despite walking into a pretty obvious Booby TRAP, managed to gain a massive lead with TWO BIG booby prizes !!!!
And so it is Lozza who walks away as this weeks winner with a whopping 141 points !!!!
CONGRATULATIONS and YAY !!!
And just a little reminder, if you think the points system is silly or unfair ... you are right !!
