AND TAND THE WINNER IS .... JUST BEFORE WE GET TO THAT BIT, thanks for playing along for this block. I had felt a little low a few times recently but this playlist and all your additions to it always lift my spirits. I hope you all enjoy it too and that it does bring a sly smile to your face as you search your memory for something that might earn a point or two (for no prize or whatsoever !!!)

Special thanks to first timers to the playlist including Lisa Gallacher for her contribution (welcome aboard Lisa. I hope you have fun here.) and I hope to see more of her in the future rounds too.

Not everyone likes contributing to the music part of the friendship (it is open to everyone, feel free to join in) and there is usually some other silly question that those boring bastards can join in  with. This block it was the question “Will Prince Phillip make it to his 100th birthday?” 

someone who i love and respect (much more than i do royalty) joined in for the first time and earnt ONE POINT for predicting that he will make it to 100 years old.

Good for her, glad to see her onboard, and a special shout out to MY MUM !!!

But enough of this soppy family bullshit ... lets find out who won ... !!!

But first, who finished lowest ? 

It may come as no surprise to see that Zach has finished bottom of the points table, again, but it may surprise many to find out that he didn't pick up any “minus million” points this block at all, and by managing to get his bloody Toto joke to actually earn points, and also playing along properly a few times, he managed to get up to 9 honest to goodness points.

Sadly he picked up the booby trap for “We are family” and ended up with a cool minus one point.

Better luck next time bro.

But the winner is ... before that , honorable mentions go to Martian Leader and David Sneddon for posting a song they wrote and performed together called “Follow me”. Pretty cool song too. But even with all that street cool and koudos behind them still fell a little short of finding victory.

But the winner is ... pushing hard for victory this block was Fraz. solid contributions all block and picking up a couple of Booby prizes along the way (one for Sabrinia’s Summertime Love ... Its basically what the booby prize was invented for !!!) saw him fall slightly short with a final score of 58.

Sharron put in her best effort yet to finish on 60 points. Maximum contribution every day, and even picking up a couple of booby PRIZES saw her points skyrocket and it was only falling into the booby trap of “i touch myself” that saw her fall back behind the eventual point leader.

Andy also hit peak contributions every day, hit a booby PRIZE, and even voted on the price phillip issue, and still ended up going from last blocks winner to this blocks runner up.

Which leaves this block juggernaut winner is ...  Karren !!!

Finishing up with a winning 66 points (despite refusing to take part in the “Band you saw live and changed your opinion of afterwards” thread) by near maximum points per day, hitting one booby PRIZE (for What becomes of the broken hearted), but also, and most annoyingly, 10 extra points for taking up my (now foolish) challenge of proving that “Africa” was actually a girls name and PISSING ME RIGHT OFF IN THE PROCESS !!!


Anyway, withough grudgment,  i wish Karren the best of congratulations for winning this block with a (when will i learn to stop making stupid bets on this bloody thing) but well deserved winning points tally of 66 !!!!
